From the mouth of Jon Ruby (good luck getting him to type!)
"We are starting to get to know a lot of west end Calvary Fellowshippers…
I thought it was Andy's best theme as he hit it out of the park right at the beginning, God spoke to me about having the ability but needing the incentive, and the incentive is faith in God and the reward of growing in relationship with Jesus. I'm having trouble explaining it, But, I'm seeing that being closer to Jesus by doing His work is the reward.
I would also say, that I thought that Steph did awesome at worship. Great song selection, he got people raising their hands, and I was ready for the message. That's an awesome job, that's what is supposed to happen. He did an awesome job.
I felt that we came together as a true family, as a guy that's been coming recently, got mugged last week, and we were able to replace the $100 he lost (he's on a fixed income) plus $10, just by going around discreetly and sharing the opportunity to help.
It was nice to hear about Angela's trip to North Africa, and how God is using her and God's a lot wider than Ottawa.
We love Angela and Margie, please pray for them and support them. Get out your credit cards!
Liz! You have a full time job now! Maybe you can help your friends on a monthly basis!
LIz has the gift of encouragement, she came up to me and stopped me and told me that I have good boys. They wanted to keep reading the Bible in Sunday School.
Please pray for our pastor, our missions girls, and our new home in September.
Thanks for letting me do the Sunday Recap."
